How to read this

A notice of intent to initiate litigation is the pre-suit notice a Florida policyholder must file with the Department of Financial Services under §627.70152 before suing a property insurer. It records that a claim dispute reached that stage; it is not a finding of wrongdoing, and it does not show how the dispute was resolved. Raw counts rise with insurer size, so compare carriers on the per-1,000-policies figure where one is shown, and see the methodology for inclusion rules, classification and limitations. Withdrawn notices are excluded.
